Bob Collins is a Managing Partner of The Medicus Firm, was Co-founder of Medicus Partners and is based in Austin, Texas. Mr. Collins focuses on the recruitment and retention of physicians and physician executives on a national basis. He also leads The Medicus Firm’s Academic Recruitment Division.

Mr. Collins has provided clients with recruitment strategy advice and successful search results since 1989. Prior to starting Medicus Partners in 2001, he was a Senior Executive Recruiter for Dell Computer Corporation in their Round Rock, Texas headquarters location. He was responsible for executive search assignments for Dell's business segment representing Dell's largest U.S. commercial customers as well as their healthcare vertical.

Previously, Mr. Collins was an Executive Vice President and served on the Board of Directors for one of the nation's largest medical staffing companies. During his 20 plus years of physician search, he personally conducted hundreds of physician searches throughout the U.S.

He is a noted authority on medical staffing, serving as a guest speaker for U.S. medical schools and residencies and also the Alberta and Nova Scotia Medical Societies. His opinions and search efforts have been detailed in media including Modern Healthcare, Today's Hospitalist, Medical Economics and the Dallas Business Journal. Mr. Collins has also served on the Education Committee for the National Association of Physician Recruiters (NAPR).

Mr. Collins earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of North Texas. He is active in the Mentor Program for Leander I.S.D. and was the Mentor of the Year for Brushy Creek Elementary for the 2008-2009 school year.  Mr. Collins is married and together he and his wife have three children.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, running, traveling and spending time with his family.
