Qualifications:

Degree:

Master’s degree or Doctorate in Medical Physics, Radiological Physics, Physics, or related field from an accredited institution required.

Certifications:

American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics preferred, or board eligible with certification obtained within an established organizational timeframe.

Licensure:

Eligible to practice as a Medical Physicist in the State of Georgia.

Skillset:

Strong expertise in:

• Radiation physics principles and treatment planning methodologies
• Quality assurance and commissioning of LINACs
• Advanced treatment modalities (IMRT, IGRT, SBRT)
• Radiation safety and regulatory compliance
• Oncology information systems and treatment planning platforms
• Accreditation readiness and cancer quality initiatives

Experience:

Minimum 2–3 years of clinical Radiation Oncology Physics experience preferred, including experience with external beam radiation therapy, treatment planning systems, commissioning, and QA of LINACs.
