Position Highlights

  • Work-Life Balance: Predictable nocturnist schedule with approximately 10–11 night shifts per month, allowing for extended time off and long-term sustainability.
  • Desirable Practice Setting: Level I Trauma Center with a high-acuity Trauma & Acute Care Surgery service covering trauma, acute care surgery, and emergency general surgery.
  • Ideal Work Environment: True in-house nocturnist model with an attending trauma surgeon on site overnight and a second nocturnist APP for support.
  • Favorable Call Schedule: In-house overnight coverage with limited backup call requirements and no expectation to practice independently without support.
  • Culture & Support: Established Trauma & Acute Care Surgery team with experienced surgeons and APPs, plus ICU and specialty backup available overnight.

  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary with built-in nocturnist differential, tiered based on years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree: Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited PA program. 
  • Certifications: Board-certified PA
  • Licensure: Eligible for PA licensure in Colorado.
  • Skillset: Ability to manage high-acuity surgical patients with strong clinical judgment and effective escalation.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in trauma surgery, acute care surgery, or emergency general surgery preferred.
  • Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship not available.
