Practice Highlights

•     Desirable Practice Setting: Hospital-employed at Boone County Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital serving Boone County since the early 1900s, with 2 ORs, 4 LDRs, 2 endoscopy suites, 7 ED rooms, and a helipad

•     Work-Life Balance: Flexible schedule with a 4.5-day workweek option (4-day option available)

•     Collaborative Team Environment: Join 9 Family Medicine physicians and dedicated APP support, alongside General Surgery, Orthopedics, CRNAs, and Emergency Medicine colleagues

•     Optimal Patient Volume: Approximately 20-25 patients per day in clinic, with optional ER shifts available

•     Practice Scope: Bread and butter primary care - OPTIONAL procedures include circumcisions, endoscopy, and OB (with or without c-section)

•     Manageable Call: 1:10 call rotation, with a 30-minute response requirement while on call

•     Modern Technology: EMR is Meditech Expanse with Dragon and AI Scribe support

Compensation & Benefits

•     Competitive Compensation: $310,000 base guarantee (or production, whichever is greater), with second-year earnings based on the higher of guarantee or production

•     Sign-On Bonus: $50,000 sign-on, plus $25,000 retention incentive after year one and an additional $25,000 retention incentive after year five

•     Relocation Assistance: $10,000 relocation allowance

•     Student Loan Repayment: Up to $240,000 over 5 years (Boone County residency required to qualify)

•     Professional Development: $5,800 CME allowance with 2 dedicated CME days, plus paid licensure, DEA, CSA, and required certifications

•     Additional Perks: $1,200 annual cell phone allowance; residency/fellowship stipend consideration of $1,500 to $2,000

Qualifications

•     Degree: MD or DO

•     Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine with Peds

•     Obstetrics: Optional

•     Licensure: Eligible for Iowa medical license

•     Experience: All experience levels welcome
