About the Opportunity

Our medical center is a respected not-for-profit regional healthcare organization seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (General/Vascular) to join its expanding Diagnostic Imaging team. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing General and Vascular Ultrasound examinations across patients of all ages while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Position Highlights

• Competitive compensation: Up to $125K/annual
• Full-time schedule consisting of 3, 12-hour shifts per week
• Rotating evenings, nights, and weekend call

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including:

• General Ultrasound
• Vascular Studies
• OB/GYN
• Abdominal
• Small Parts
• Breast Imaging

(Excludes Echocardiography.)

Additional responsibilities include:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging while adhering to departmental protocols
• Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout examinations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record
• Ensure equipment quality and compliance with safety standards

Work Environment

• Two dedicated ultrasound suites
• Samsung ultrasound systems
• Meditech EMR
• NovaPACS imaging system
• Average patient volume of 12-15 patients per day
• Supportive, patient-centered culture committed to clinical excellence

Qualifications

• ARDMS Registered
• Vascular Registry required
• Experience performing General and Vascular Ultrasound
• Ability to perform examinations across all patient age groups
• Strong communication and patient care skills
