A Tribal Health and Wellness Center serving the Ashland, Wisconsin region is recruiting a full-time Director of Optometry to lead and expand its vision services program. This position combines clinical practice with program leadership and provider recruitment as the department grows.

Practice Highlights

• Multidisciplinary outpatient health center offering primary care, behavioral health, dentistry, pharmacy, radiology, and specialty services
• Leadership opportunity to recruit additional optometrists/support staff and develop the program
• Referral partnership with a nearby ophthalmology provider approximately 10 miles away for complex cases
• Monday–Friday schedule, 8 am - 4:30 pm
• No evenings or weekend call
• Clinical Focus: Routine vision exams, Medical optometry, Diabetic eye care and chronic disease management, Preventive vision care, and community health initiatives

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: depending on experience

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
• Eligible for Wisconsin optometry licensure
• Leadership interest in building and growing a vision program
• Collaborative communication and team leadership skills
