Nathan Miller is Chief Executive Officer of The Medicus Firm, where he leads the firm's consultants in connecting physicians and healthcare providers with hospitals and health systems nationwide. He joined TMF in 2008 and was named CEO in 2021, bringing more than 20 years of experience in healthcare recruitment to the role. Under his leadership, TMF has grown into a trusted national leader in permanent healthcare recruitment.

Nathan's career began as a recruitment consultant, where he found his focus early: matching physicians and healthcare providers with roles that fit their strengths and career goals. That early experience shaped the trust-first approach he's built The Medicus Firm around today, one grounded in communication, transparency, and follow-through with both the organizations and the providers TMF serves. As CEO, he has focused the firm's growth on the fundamentals that built it: preparation, market intelligence, and a thorough search process, paired with the technology that keeps that process consistent without losing the personal attention each search requires.

A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Nathan holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in counseling psychology. He lives in the Dallas area with his wife and four children.

Jacob Simon is Chief Operations Officer at The Medicus Firm, where he oversees sales, operations, and strategy across the firm. He joined TMF in 2014 and brings 13 years of experience in sales and physician recruitment, and 17 years in recruitment overall, to the role.

Before joining TMF, Jacob worked as a wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator for a university football program, experience that shaped his early approach to finding and developing the right people for a team.

A native of Rosalia, Kansas, Jacob earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from McPherson College and a master's degree in administration from Northwestern State University. He now lives in Boerne, Texas, with his wife, Maricarmen, and their four children, Emmitt, Emilia, Noelle, and Hannah. Outside of work, he's often coaching his kids' sports teams, traveling, or watching football.

Michael Messier leads business development for The Medicus Firm's Physician Search team, partnering with hospitals and health systems, FQHCs, value-based care organizations, private groups, and private equity-backed organizations nationwide. He joined TMF in 2015 and brings 14 years of experience to the role.

Michael's approach is built on transparency, follow-through, and understanding what an organization actually needs, not just the role that needs to be filled. He sees his work as an extension of each organization's own internal team, not a replacement for it, and stays focused on long-term fit over quick fills.

Born in California and raised in Idaho, Michael earned his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Idaho. He now lives in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with his wife, Abby, and their two daughters, Reese and Riley. Outside of work, he's usually cheering on the SF Giants, Niners, and Spurs, or getting outdoors with his family and dogs.

Tim Ketterman leads The Medicus Firm's Physician Search recruiting efforts, but his focus goes well beyond filling individual roles. He's spent his career building high-performing teams, developing leaders, and creating the kind of repeatable process that holds up even when the market doesn't offer an easy answer. Tim is drawn to the intersection of strategy and execution: understanding what's actually slowing a result down, questioning the way things have always been done, and helping a team turn a good plan into consistent performance.

Tim brings more than 20 years in physician recruitment to TMF, including senior leadership experience as a chief operating officer and senior partner, before joining the firm in 2024. He believes the best solutions come not from working harder, but from asking better questions, understanding the market, and getting people aligned around execution. He also sees the weight behind every search: a filled role affects a community's access to care, which is why he sees TMF's job as bringing clients more than physicians and healthcare providers: real market intelligence and perspective they can act on.

A native of El Dorado, Kansas, Tim earned his bachelor's degree in marketing and international business from Kansas State University. He now lives in Dallas, Texas.

Josh Hunt is Senior Vice President of The Medicus Firm's Academic Search division, where he leads strategy, growth, and performance for the team. He partners with academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, and health systems with graduate medical education programs on complex physician recruitment, work that often calls for customized research, targeted outreach, and a more strategic approach than traditional recruiting allows.

Josh brings 14 years of experience in physician and advanced practitioner recruitment, business development, and leadership to TMF, which he joined in 2018. He spent two years in oil and gas after graduating from Texas State University before moving into healthcare, growing from an entry-level consultant into a VP-level leadership role. He leads with an emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and adaptability, and he's especially interested in how technology, including AI, can sharpen the recruiting process without losing the human judgment that makes a search work.

A native of Granbury, Texas, where he still lives today, Josh earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies, with a minor in business administration, from Texas State University. He and his wife, Kasey, have two young children. Outside of work, he's usually spending time with family, playing golf, traveling, or trying new restaurants.

Amy Massey is Senior Vice President of Community & Tribal Search at The Medicus Firm, where she leads a team of consultants focused on rural health, including FQHCs and Critical Access Hospitals. She's worked with organizations across the spectrum, from small private practices and FQHCs to large, multi-state health systems.

Amy brings 15 years of recruitment and healthcare operations experience to TMF, which she joined in 2023, including prior roles as chief operating officer of a multi-specialty physician group, in-house director of physician recruitment for a hospital system, and a brand role at a national lifestyle publication. She also spent eight years running a healthcare billing office, giving her firsthand insight into the operational side of medicine, and grew up in a household with two physician parents, an upbringing she credits with an intuitive understanding of how physicians think and what they expect from a search.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Amy graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia's Honors College with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication and a minor in Spanish. She now lives in Columbus, Georgia, with her husband, Matt, a healthcare executive, their two daughters, Caroline and Olivia, and their Labradoodle, Sammy. Outside of work, she loves to cook, garden, travel, and indulge her passion for interior design.

Adam Newsom serves as Divisional Vice President of Business Development for The Medicus Firm's Academic Search division, working with academic medical centers, medical schools, children's hospitals, and integrated health systems nationwide. He develops customized recruiting programs for institutions across the country, consulting on physician recruitment strategy, succession planning, market trends, compensation, and physician well-being and retention.

Before joining TMF, Adam held roles across academic and community healthcare, including at a large non-profit academic healthcare system in Louisiana, a community-owned, not-for-profit system in East Tennessee, and a physician-owned multi-specialty group with more than 400 providers in south Mississippi. That firsthand view of academic and community health systems shapes how he approaches every search today: fewer assumptions, more market intelligence, and solutions built around each institution's specific goals.

Adam earned his B.S. in healthcare marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi College of Business.

Jessica Williams is Divisional Vice President of Business Development for The Medicus Firm's Allied & Dental Search division, working across all allied and dental specialties with a particular focus on dental this year.

Jessica joined TMF in 2024 and brings 13 years of experience in healthcare sales and operations, including prior vice president roles in both operations and sales. She spends much of her time cultivating new partnerships across the industry, favoring proactive outreach over waiting for the right connection to come along.

Jessica grew up in Riverside, California, and now lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, Jordan, and their two children, Nikolai and Emma. Weekends are often spent cheering on her kids at their sporting events.

Thomas Riddle is Divisional Vice President of Community & Tribal Search at The Medicus Firm, where he leads a team connecting Federally Qualified Health Centers, Community Health Centers, and Tribal Health organizations with physicians and advanced practice providers committed to community and tribal health. His team's work goes beyond filling positions, providing consultative support that strengthens operations, ensures compliance, and supports the financial sustainability of the organizations they serve, while placing mission-driven providers who create lasting impact.

Thomas brings 20 years of healthcare industry experience to TMF, which he joined in March 2020, taking a comprehensive approach to every engagement: assessing each client's specific needs and building solutions that adapt to a fast-changing market. He leads with direct, honest communication, a knack for cutting through complexity to reach a workable answer, and a consistent follow-through that clients and colleagues alike point to as a defining strength.

A native of Fulton, Missouri, Thomas holds a business degree from Drury University and lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his family, working out, driving fast cars, and staying active in his church, where he serves on the security team alongside his son and leads a men's ministry.

John Flynn is Divisional Vice President of Recruiting for The Medicus Firm's Physician Search division, where he leads and develops the recruiting team, oversees provider sourcing, and manages client relationships to help drive successful searches. He works with healthcare organizations and hospital systems nationwide, from rural to metropolitan settings.

John brings nearly 20 years of healthcare recruiting and leadership experience to TMF, which he joined in 2025 after senior director of recruiting roles at two national healthcare staffing organizations. He played football at the University of Oklahoma, then spent five seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for his alma mater's program, followed by a stint coaching offensive line at another university, before moving into healthcare staffing. Over his career in production, he's placed more than 150 healthcare providers nationwide and was named Recruiter of the Year four times: 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2024.

A native of Anadarko, Oklahoma, John earned his bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. He now lives in Flower Mound, Texas, with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children, Jackson (Jack), Isabelle, and Leo.

Vanessa Leboehi is Divisional Vice President of The Medicus Firm's Allied & Dental Search division, where she leads a team of dental and allied health consultants.

Vanessa brings 20 years of recruiting experience, including 18 years leading teams, and joined TMF in 2023 after previous roles as an academic recruiter and as a provider recruitment manager for a regional health system. She favors a proactive approach: going out and finding the right fit for a role rather than waiting for it to come through a job posting.

A native of Indiana, Vanessa earned her bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in women's studies, from DePauw University. She now lives in Cumming, Georgia, with her husband, Patrick, a senior systems engineer, and their two daughters and son. Outside of work, she's usually scuba diving, traveling, cooking, or reading.

Dane Pavlovich is Divisional Vice President of Community & Tribal Search at The Medicus Firm, where he focuses on rural hospitals, community health systems, and FQHCs nationwide. He joined TMF in 2022, spending more than two years in production before being promoted into leadership, and was named to TMF's President's Club and won the firm's Impact Award, both in 2024.

Before joining TMF, Dane spent 17 years in higher education, including roles as a women's basketball coach, athletic director, dean of students, and admissions director. That range, spanning athletics, student life, and enrollment, shapes how he approaches every search today: building real relationships and understanding what a community actually needs, not just filling a role.

A native of Onaga, Kansas, Dane earned his bachelor's degree in secondary education, with a focus in English and Spanish, from Kansas State University, where he graduated cum laude, and an MBA from Stephens College. He also played two years of college basketball at Kansas Wesleyan University. He now lives in Lindsborg, Kansas, with his wife, Tricia, a communications and marketing director, and their four children, Sebastian, Esther, Atticus, and Echo, all of whom are now in college. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, reading, baseball, and spending time with family.

Juan Soto is Vice President, Strategic Accounts, for The Medicus Firm's Physician Search division, where he focuses on strategic account development and enterprise workforce partnerships. He works with hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, and physician groups on physician capacity, access, and service-line growth, partnering across executive leadership, talent acquisition, physician recruitment, clinical operations, and service-line teams.

Juan brings more than 20 years in healthcare sales and strategic account leadership to TMF, which he joined in 2025. Before joining TMF, he held senior leadership roles in client solutions, clinical workforce optimization, healthcare staffing, and business development, work that shapes how he approaches every partnership today: helping organizations solve complex talent challenges with a strategic, long-term lens rather than a transactional one. He has been recognized throughout his career for his track record in strategic account growth and deal development.

A native of New York City, Juan earned his bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology from SUNY Albany. He now lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kari Freeland is Director of Client Success at The Medicus Firm, where she leads a team of five Client Success Managers supporting hospital systems and health systems nationwide. She joined TMF in September 2025 and brings a consultative, partnership-driven approach to every client relationship, championing the same account management rigor with each hospital system TMF serves.

Kari brings two decades of experience in healthcare talent acquisition and business development to the role. Before joining TMF, she held director-level positions in business development and professional services across concierge medicine, a hospital system, and pain management practices, including a role responsible for physician recruitment and retention from inside a hospital system. That firsthand view from the other side of the table, as the executive making hiring decisions, shapes how she leads client success today.

Kari grew up in Charleston, South Carolina, and now lives in Bend, Oregon, with her husband, Mark, and their two children, Cole and Reagan, both away at college. She earned her B.S. in health promotion and education from Clemson University and her M.S. in exercise science from the University of South Carolina. Outside of work, she's usually hiking or paddleboarding around Bend, taking up pickleball as a new empty nester, or watching college football.

Lauren Van Bree is Director of Marketing and Strategic Operations at The Medicus Firm, where she leads marketing strategy focused on growth, innovation, and brand strength while supporting TMF's recruiting, business development, and executive leadership teams nationwide.

Before joining TMF in 2024, Lauren spent her career in senior healthcare operations and business strategy leadership, overseeing multi-site clinic operations across Louisiana, expanding patient access to more communities, and building strategic partnerships with national entertainment brands to bring healthcare service programs to their audiences. She started her career in agency marketing before finding her focus in healthcare, and brings deep experience with Joint Commission Accreditation standards for ambulatory and urgent care centers, a quality-first foundation that now shapes her approach to marketing and growth at TMF.

A native of Miami, Florida, Lauren earned a double major in public relations and political science from Loyola University New Orleans and an MBA from Louisiana State University, graduating in the top five percent of her class. After 20 years in New Orleans, she recently moved back to Miami. She's married with two daughters, and outside of work she loves cooking, traveling as a self-described food tourist, and hasn't missed a New Orleans Jazz Fest in 20 years.
