Kennewick, Washington offers a dynamic blend of sunshine, riverfront beauty, and economic opportunity in the heart of the Tri-Cities region. Set along the Columbia River in southeastern Washington, Kennewick combines an active outdoor lifestyle with a strong job market and a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere—making it an increasingly attractive place to call home.

The diversity of the Tri-Cities area adds richness to the culture, reflected in local cuisine, music, and community celebrations.

One of Kennewick’s greatest assets is its natural setting. The Columbia River provides miles of scenic waterfront trails perfect for walking, running, and cycling. Parks and green spaces line the river, offering picnic areas, playgrounds, and beautiful sunset views. Boating, paddleboarding, and fishing are popular pastimes, while nearby Badger Mountain and surrounding open spaces provide hiking opportunities with sweeping views of the region. With over 300 days of sunshine annually, outdoor living is part of everyday life.

Housing options in Kennewick range from established neighborhoods with mature landscaping to newer developments with modern designs and views of the river or surrounding hills. Many residents appreciate the balance of affordability, space, and quality of life compared to larger West Coast cities.

Within a 90-minute drive, residents can access Walla Walla’s renowned wine country or head toward Yakima for additional recreation and amenities. Spokane and the greater Seattle area are reachable for extended weekend trips, while the Tri-Cities Airport offers convenient regional travel.
