Overview:

A nation-leading teaching institution and clinical practice is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery to join its established Cardiothoracic Division within the Department of Surgery. As the largest academic program in Illinois, the division's cardiothoracic surgeons are among the most experienced teachers and surgeons, performing upwards of 900 CABG cases and more than 1,500 cardiothoracic operations each year.

• Current team of (4) Cardiac Surgeons (2 approaching retirement)
• Primarily clinical focused with Ample Opportunity for Clinical Research and Trials
• 1 clinic day and 4 OR days each week - surgeons operate at the two local Level 1 Trauma Centers
• High volume of CABGs; PA Surgical Assists and fantastic support staff and
• Thoracic work is handled by dedicated Thoracic Surgeons on staff
• Signing Bonus, Relocation Assistance, and Stipend!
• Guaranteed base salary commensurate with rank and experience (robust RVU production after current surgeons retire)
