Overview
The University of Maryland Medical Center - Downtown Campus seeks an OB Anesthesiologist to join a nationally recognized obstetric anesthesia division. This is a 100% obstetric anesthesia practice in a SOAP Center of Excellence (8 years running).
Position Highlights
- Level IV Maternal Care Center
- High-acuity cases: Placenta Accreta Spectrum, maternal cardiac, ECMO
- No general OR or GYN cases (except rare high-risk terminations)
- Newly built OBCU: 12 L&D rooms, 3 ORs, Level IV NICU with neonatal ECMO
- Collaborative academic environment with residents, fellows, and MFM partners
- Teaching, research, and hospital committee involvement encouraged
Schedule & Call
- Mon-Fri, 7 AM-3 PM
- 2 weekday calls/month; ~8 weekend calls/year (choice of 12- or 24-hour shifts)
Compensation Highlights:
- Compensation package plus incentive bonuses, sign-on, relocation package, comprehensive benefits package including CME allowance, over 50 days PTO, Pension Plan, 7.25% retirement match, and more
- Compensation package plus internal moonlighting available for additional comp
Qualifications:
- Board certified in anesthesiology
- OB fellowship trained ideal but open to considering non fellowship trained providers that have 10+ years' experience in a high acuity setting
- Visa sponsorship available
