Position Highlights

  • Executive Academic & Clinical Leadership - Serves as the Chief Clinical and Educational Operating Officer, shaping and executing the strategic direction of the School of Medicine.
  • Curriculum & Educational Oversight - Provides leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the undergraduate medical education program, while supporting GME and interprofessional education.
  • Clinical Integration & Partnerships - Aligns clinical operations, faculty, and resources with academic objectives in collaboration with Cape Fear Valley Health and other partners.
  • Accreditation & Compliance Leadership - Serves as the senior liaison with accrediting bodies (LCME, ACGME) to ensure adherence to standards and successful program accreditation.
  • Faculty & Talent Development - Leads faculty recruitment, mentoring, retention, and professional development to strengthen teaching, scholarship, and clinical excellence.
  • Strategic Administration & Resource Management - Oversees budget, resource allocation, and operational management while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and equity.

  • Degree: MD's only
  • Specialty: Open to all medical specialties
  • Skillset:  Curriculum development, research and/or community engagement
  • Experience:  10 years experience in academic medicine administration
