Behavioral Health

Join an integrated community healthcare organization seeking a collaborative Behavioral Health Director to lead an established multidisciplinary department. Position Details

• Primarily administrative leadership position with very limited direct patient care.
• Lead behavioral health strategy, program development, quality improvement, grants, and community outreach.
• Oversee an established team of behavioral health clinicians, managers, and rehabilitation professionals.
• Help develop additional clinical leadership positions and shape the department’s future structure.
• Provides strategic oversight for crisis services, outpatient therapy, psychiatric services, psychosocial rehabilitation, and early psychosis programming.
• Reports directly to the CEO and serves as a member of the senior leadership team.
• Flexible, outcomes-focused schedule generally averaging 40–45 hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary begins at $130,000 annually with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
• $15,000 sign-on bonus with a three-year commitment, relocation available on case-by-case basis

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor eligible for Alaska licensure.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible community behavioral health experience.
• At least three years of senior leadership, director, or program management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading teams, developing programs, and managing organizational change.
• Clinical experience in mental health, substance use treatment, or integrated behavioral healthcare.
• FQHC, community mental health, grants, quality improvement, or regulatory compliance experience preferred
