Client satisfaction is hard to maintain in our business. We deal with tricky situations. Competition for candidates is fierce. Our clients and the physicians we recruit are very busy. Our ability to work with our clients in very challenging circumstances and to help them to succed AND to do it in a manner that they appreciate is our top priority. We take a lot of pride in the awards we win for being a Best Company to Work for in Healthcare and in Texas, but for us, the Inavero/Career Builder Best of Staffing award is the equivalent to winning the Super Bowl, an Oscar, the Nobel prize and the World Series all wrapped up in one. It is so important to us for several reasons:
- The feedback comes straight from our clients. We don't see it.
- The survey goes to all clients. Whether they have worked with our company for 10 years or 10 minutes, we survey clients three times per year and everyone gets a say.
- The clients are asked only three questions, the most important of which is "on a scale of 0-10, how likely would you be to refer The Medicus Firm to a friend or colleauge in need of physician recruitment services?" In the book The Ultimate Question, Fred Reichheld outlines the importance of that single question over all others when measuring client satisfaction, but it boils down to this... would your clients put their own reputation on the line to recommend you others? A formula then comes in to play so that scores can be standardized and compared to other companies, industries, etc.
- We're competing with temporary staffing firms and contingent staffing firms who accept no money until a deal is consummated. In addition to that we are competing with all sectors of staffing... legal, office, IT staffing, manufacturing, etc. In other words, it is a big field.
I guess I would say the bottom line is that we're accepting money and, therefore, responsibility to fill difficult searches on our clients' behalf in a tough industry and do do it with integrity and in a manner that is pleasing to our clients! That our efforts have resulted in our clients' satisfaction is the ultimate reward. We are so thankful to have such a dedicated and talented group of people at The Medicus Firm. Without them, this award would simply not be possible. Jim Stone President
