Practice Info:
Joining 1 other experienced and board-certified physician and 1 nurse practitioner. Plan to hire additional NP
99% of cases are elective; surgery days: 3-5, non-surgery days: 5 procedures
Full-time, 5-day work week. Friday’s are half day.
Practice owns its own surgery center in Manhasset, its quality-certified OR. Plenty of block time for incoming surgeon.
Practice/hospital call shared 50/50. Practice call is usually light and minor issues like lacerations. Total hospital calls are 14 days/month.
Call varies some days no calls, some days busy. Never get anything overnight past 11 pm.
3 hospitals: South Nassau, Mercy, St. Joseph’s, and Plainview.
Call split between providers, phone call only, round next day in hospital
Base Salary of $500k. Provider that left already billed $1.4m in first quarter. Bonus when collecting $1m. Year 2 $700k likely
Partnership: <5 years (2 possible). Free buy-in after 3-5 years depending on collections.
